ADAPTIVE FRONT-LIGHTING SYSTEM

Lexus: Intellingent - Adaptive Front-Lighting

Intelligent Adaptive Lighting System (I-AFS) can automatically rotate bi-xenon headlamps High Intensity Discharge (HID) during cornering, to improve visibility during night time sensitive.

Sophisticated technology can adjust the headlights I-AFS (beam and the road) up to 15 degrees in entering a curve to the left, and up to 5 degrees from entering a right turn. The I-AFS in combination with bi-xenon headlamps provide superior lighting definition, the brightest of the runway, providing better visibility at night in turns, without blind oncoming drivers travel.

Nissan : Adaptive front-lighting System (AFS)

AFS headlights illuminate when reversing direction turns at an intersection visibility of pedestrians and obstacles detection is improved.

When cornering, the AFS headlights illuminate the road curvature as improving driver visibility.

Skoda: AFS-Lights that adapt to the situation
It works on the basis of four regimens for use:
1.Modul Intercity - the lights are in their position normala.Acest finctioneaza regime between 0-15 km / h and 50-90km / h and at low speeds and are activated fixed corner liminal
2.Modul City - light distribution is wider but shorter stays that way right Intercity.Farul normal position while the left is tilted slightly to the left and downward so as not to affect the leaders of so opus.Functioneaza speeds between 15 -50 Km / h
3.Modul Highway - distribution of caloric light is on a large area, both headlights are angled up from the standard position but at different speeds valori.Functioneaza after 90km / h and the maximum effect observed after 120 km / h.
4.Modul Rain - is activated when visibility is reduced, for example rain or snow and the distribution of light is wider and shorter compared with the regime Intercity.Functioneaza speeds between 0-70 km / h and is activated when the wipers work more than 2 minutes.

AFS headlights operating engines are controlled by a controller in the direction of autevehiculului walk when he was in a curve or when performing a bend. The headlights are controlled according to vehicle speed, steering angle and rotation control signal thereof.

McLaren "Mega Mac" faster than Veyron supercar GrandSport ?

The team from McLaren is working on a new flagship, whose purpose is to eclipse any other supercar launched so far. The model is expected to start in 2014 and it is internally called "Mega Mac".
The hypercar will be built in just 500 copies, and each will have 799 hp and will cost between 350,000 and 400,000 pounds. Compared to the current MP4-12C, the model will be bigger, "nervous" and more functional than the current flagship of McLaren, and "Mega Mac" will bear a resemblance to both the McLaren F1 and the MP4-12C .
McLaren will equip future engines for "Mega Mac"with active aerodynamics, which will involve a movewment from the front spoiler and rear bumper under certain conditions. In addition, the model will have an aerodynamic brake, similar to the current one for the MP4-12C model.
The engine is a V8 twin-turbo 5.0-liter, which will develop 799 hp and is designed by  the Ricardo company. The maximum torque, 799 Nm, will be offered between 3500 rpm and 6800 rpm and the engine will engage the rear wheels via a seven-speed Graziano transmission and two clutches.

Volvo City Safety

Volvo XC60 will be the star of its lines in 2009 that combines both features crossover allure sport, classic design and elegant finesse, but especially for innovations to the security systems that can make history. The interior is also impressive, spacious, comfortable, intelligent design arguments itself.
Volvo XC60 is the nervous and powerful engines both petrol and diesel. Gasoline engines are 3-liter six-cylinder turbo train, a force of 285 horses. Turbodiesel engines have a capacity of 2.4 liters and an output of 163 or 185 hp with a five-cylinder compression. Because of the high-performance four-wheel drive XC60 feel comfortable in any type of road you approach. The feeling of stability and safety is guaranteed even on slippery surfaces. Safety features include anti-theft systems facilities, which may involve including laminated glass; (CSR rollover protection for recovery and maintaining vehicle stability during sudden maneuvers and ROPS, to protect vehicle occupants in rollover event), Alcoguard system that prevents lead drunk car, sound system alerting the driver when it shows signs of inattention, leaving the lane warning system, collision warning system and the automatic brake, City Safety, the innovative.

Here are the latest technology in terms of brake at Volvo! City Safety is an intelligent system able to brake in an emergency only. A kind of guardian angel of the road, meant to protect us from the worst.
City Safety is placed front inside windshield, the rearview mirror, and its job is to detect the laser sensors, any car that is in front, within a radius of 10 meters. Is actually an optical device, it should be noted that its detection may be limited in case of a dirty windshield, affected by dust, water, fog or snow. So always clean the windscreen must be maintained. When you have car, approached too quickly by another, the system triggers automatic braking to avoid collision. This innovation is designed for urban traffic conditions, for preventing the collision of two vehicles at low speeds, up to 30 km / h. Knowing that most accidents (80%) occur in the city, of which 75% occur at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour and is due in large part to inattention.City Safety is ideal, especially in traffic jams, when a second of distraction can create great inconvenience to all involved.

And if you still could not have avoided the collision, the impact effects are much reduced, protecting the passengers and the risk of serious injury.A speed of up to 15 km / h City Safety can entirely avoid the blows. At a speed between 15 and 30 km / h, its mission is to reduce speed as possible before impact. The intelligent system makes 50 calculations per second to detect the braking power needed to avoid impact.

New function has been training and other safety systems built in, controlling adaptive airbags and load limiters safety belts, depending on the severity of the impact (PRS).City Safety will now only fit the Volvo XC 60. If, however, convince and efficiency will be recognized, could become a security system indinspensabil, as the example of ESP, which keeps the car's grip on the ground. The latter has become a measure binding security criteria recognized by EuroNCAP.

Jaguar C-X75 - The top Bugatti Veyron competitor

Jaguar confirms that its C-X75 hybrid supercar will make production. This car will have a carbon composite chassis and will be powered by four electric motors at each wheel and a four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. C-X75 combines 968bhp and 1180lb ft maximums and a 205mph top speed (0-60mph less than 3sec, 0-100mph less than 6sec) with 28g/km CO2 emissions that put it next to Bugatti Veyron like performance and to Toyota Prius like cleanliness.
The luxury car manufacturer will take help from the Williams F1 team for this project. The project will involve direct transfer of technology between both the companies, especially in regards to lightweight structures.

The company is currently planning around 250 cars. C-X75 will be built, designed and engineered exclusivly in Britain.  Of the 250 models that Jaguar plans to build around 50 will be race variants.
