Dacia Duster 850bhp - Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Race


Renault will attend Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race in 2011 with a Dacia Duster in the category "Unlimited". The first images for the 850 horsepower monster have finally been released.
The bolide was developed by Renault and will be led by Jean-Philippe Dayraut, the Andros Trophy winner. Dacia Duster Pikes Peak has an engine derived from the Nissan GT-R's twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6. The machine weight is around 900 pounds.
This year's race will be held on 26th of June.
Pikes Peak International Hill Climb takes place in Colorado, United States, over a distance of 19.99 km. The route covers a difference of 1439 meters between home and destination, rising to a height of 1862 meters. Cars are driven both on gravel, and asphalt.The race also involves 156 turns.The competition is on the official FIA International Events Calendar, with 150 competitors from all over the world.
